This Knowledge Centre provides a one-stop shop for information about biodiversity and the impact of related policies. It monitors the progress of the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, and is an interface for scientists to network, share research results and channel them to support EU policies. This new EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030 sets the EU on a path to recovery the loss of biodiversity by 2030 and will be followed up by specific actions in 2021. The Strategy proposes how the EU could contribute to the upcoming international negotiations on global post-2020 biodiversity framework, underlining the EU´s key role at the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological in Biological Diversity. The ETC on Biological Diversity (ETC/BD) is an international consortium working with the European Environment Agency under a framework partnership agreement for the period 2019-2021.
